Street wear with an edge at LFW Fashions Finest with Izelia
Guests of Fashions Finest LFW September Schedule were treated to a show with a difference this weekend with Izelia. Opening the show was the talented Leon of Versatile Dance Crew whose street dancing wowed the audience and perfectly introduced the new street vibe of Izelia fashion.
Isatu Harrison, Founder and Designer of Izelia, draws on her Sierra Leonean heritage to create a modern and sophisticated range of ready to wear pieces in materials as diverse as sexy stretch denim and luxurious silk chiffon. African wax prints with contemporary cuts are a feature of the debut collection. With a look for every occasion, fashion from Izelia can brighten up your every day wardrobe as well as add flair to a more dressy outfit! Izelia pieces include military inspired jumpsuits and dresses in both elegant floor length and chic fitted styles, putting a new twist on African-inspired fashion. To compliment the new street vibe of Izelia Isatu partnered with just launched Australian accessories house Fortriu.
After recently launching their label in Sydney Australia, Fortriu are passionate about providing the latest trends in headwear. The hats matched perfectly the collection, which featured denim and brightly coloured fabrics, going to show
how African print can be used in contemporary fashion. With European twerk music, street dancing, baseball caps and the models dancing down the catwalk the show was the hippest urban catwalk presentation this London Fashion Week and setted the tone for a new urban look to this innovative brand!
